Julie first discovered yoga whilst working as a commercial designer some 12 years ago. Regular yoga sessions created a sense of well-being and balance that helped her juggle a busy life and resulted in the inspiration to teach. Julie undertook her teaching training in Kerala, India at one of the highly-regarded Sivananda Ashrams in 2005.

Teaching Style

Julie encourages students to practice with awareness and respect for their own bodies and hopes they too will find balance in their daily lives.

As well as teaching general classes, Julie has become well known for her specialist pregnancy yoga and birth preparation workshops. She has quickly forged a reputation in the Blackheath area of SE London for her expertise in pregnancy yoga and has recently started a new pregnancy yoga class in Wimbledon. Having worked with many pregnant students and hearing their positive feedback on how yoga has helped them during their pregnancy, labour and the post-natal period, she is absolutely passionate about teaching pregnancy yoga. Julie has over 700 hrs of pre-natal teaching experience (group classes, workshops and 1-to-1 sessions).

Sarah’s inclusive teaching style draws inspiration from the many strands of Yoga, with an emphasis on flowing with the breath whilst developing strength and flexibility in Asana. She encourages students to cultivate that quiet space within through her uplifting yet deeply relaxing classes. She is confident that this millennia-old holistic tradition has huge potential to bring a sense of balance and well-being into our busy urban lives.
